The world's biggest gathering of sword dancers is back - this time in the wonderful historic city of York.
There is nothing quite like the Sword Spectacular - anywhere!
Where to see the dancing: Several people have enquired where they can see particular teams during the weekend. The simple answer is we won't know until a few days before the festival. BUT we can say there will be dancing in ALL the main performance areas in York City Centre from 12 noon to 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday, at which our stewards will have programmes containing full details of who's dancing where.
Your team not booked yet? Although we had closed booings to more teams after reaching our limit of 50 participating sword dance groups, sadly one has had to pull out - so we can accept one additional team.
It's your final call to join others from the UK, elsewhere in Europe and North America. After that, regretfully, we cannot accept any more team bookings.
